About

VIE is a place where art, fashion, architecture and design converge. Located in the heart of Paris, VIE is a gallery and studio workspace partnering with trailblazers, thinkers, artists, and creatives to curate experiences and foster these diverse networks to gather and multiply.

VIE is where people, ideas, and creativity collide. It’s a place for those who seek more from life—more connection, expression and meaning.
VIE Projects and Studio span 320 m², with the gallery space on Boulevard Beaumarchais covering 80 m², which can be expanded to 160 m² along rue des Tournelles, stretching across an entire Parisian city block. An additional 160 m² is dedicated to a workspace fostering experimentation across all creative disciplines. Together, these two spaces represent the dual facets of a singular vision devoted to the arts and innovation.

VIE is an initiative of Michelle Lu, founder of media platform Semaine, and architect Julien De Smedt.

About Saks Potts

Founded by Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts in 2014, Saks Potts was a personal reflection of their life in Copenhagen, inspired by their large community from all over the world.

Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts had met in kindergarten and had been inseparable ever since. Their own search for a specific colorful winter coat, which they couldn’t find anywhere, had led them to design it themselves. This became the starting point of their brand, Saks Potts, which they founded right after finishing high school at the ages of 19 and 20.

Their collections evolved over the years but always remained authentic to where they were in life. Saks Potts stood for heritage craftsmanship and sourced the best materials like Harris Tweed wool, Thomas Mason cotton poplin, and certified leathers. They used top-tier manufacturers to ensure a responsible production chain and the longevity of the clothes. All collections were designed with the idea of creating essentials for the perfect closet, so one could buy less but better — the perfect dress, the perfect jeans, the perfect winter coat, and so on. Styles were meant to be kept and worn again season after season; the collections were timeless yet unconventional, sophisticated, and practical at the same time.

Saks Potts was a very community-driven brand and had been worn by royals and some of the world's most esteemed celebrities like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna. It has been sold in top-tier high-end stores around the world since the very beginning. While the customer clientele reflected the many gender-neutral styles, the brand was particularly worn by women of all ages. Everyone was meant to feel powerful wearing Saks Potts. The brand gained international recognition from the outset and won several Elle Style Awards over the years. Both founders were added to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022 and were most recently rewarded with the prestigious Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize in November 2023.

In December 2024, the brand announced that it would conclude.

The SP book is their final SP project — an image-driven archive book with personal essays reflecting their journey over the past 10 years.

About Saks Potts Book

The Saks Potts Book is an authentic story about how female empowerment built an unconventional fashion brand with and for its worldwide community - a brand rooted in craftsmanship and born from a love for Copenhagen.

Saks Potts is the story of two childhood friends who, at just 19 and 20, launched what became an internationally successful fashion label right after finishing high school. Over the next decade, Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts built a global brand by staying true to themselves, following instinct, and doing it all on their own terms.

After 10 extraordinary years, they made the bold decision to close the brand at its peak in the spring of 2025. “Why shut down a business that is doing so well?” was the question they heard again and again. The truth is, after a decade of intense dedication, the founders chose to embrace the opportunity to reflect, marking ten years as the perfect milestone to celebrate the journey and wanted to stop the brand on a financial and creative high.

The Saks Potts Book is a curated archive of the brand’s greatest highlights from 2014–2024. Structured in seven chapters; Authentic, Empowerment, Unconventional, Uniform, Copenhagen, Family, and Forever. The book is driven by archival imagery and enriched with essays, quotes, and personal messages from the Saks Potts community across the world, including Princess Olympia of Greece, Tish Weinstock, Emily Weiss, Dree Hemingway, and former Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt among others, who share what Saks Potts has meant to them and to the industry.

The book also features an in-depth interview by Liana Satenstein with Cathrine and Barbara, offering an intimate reflection on their life-changing journey, the values that shaped the brand, and the intuition that led to their decision to end it on their own terms.

This book is dedicated to their fathers, “Febbe” and “Tudderlas”.

“Our 20s have been devoted to this incredible Saks Potts journey and now we can’t wait to see what our 30s will bring, and to show you our next move. SP forever.”
